Instructions for Use

1. About SnapLabs
SnapLabs is a mobile application for iOS and Android that helps you digitize, store and visualize your laboratory test results. You scan or upload a lab report, AI extracts the values from it, and after you review them the app saves them so you can follow how your results change over time.
- Manufacturer: Zujunai, J. Bulhako g. 15, 14173, Buivydiskes, Vilniaus r.
- Contact: contact@zujunai.com
2. Intended Purpose
SnapLabs is intended to:
- Digitize lab reports (e.g., blood work) from photos, PDFs or manual entry.
- Store your results in one place, locally on your device by default.
- Show trends for individual metrics across multiple tests.
- Generate informational AI summaries of your recent results.
- Export your data so you can share it with a healthcare professional.
SnapLabs is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not provide medical advice. It is intended for adults managing their own lab results.
3. Important Warnings
- Always verify AI-extracted data. AI can misread numbers, units or test names. Compare every value against your original report before saving it.
- Do not use SnapLabs for medical decisions. Discuss your results with a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.
- Do not use SnapLabs in an emergency. If you think you have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.
- Reference ranges depend on the laboratory. Use the reference ranges printed on your own report, not general values.
- Back up your data. By default your data is stored only on your device. If you lose the device or delete the app without enabling Health Data Sync, your data cannot be recovered.
4. Requirements
- A smartphone running iOS or Android.
- An internet connection for account sign-in, AI extraction, AI insights, PDF export and cloud sync. Viewing saved records and trends works offline.
- A SnapLabs account.
- Scan credits or an active plan for AI extraction. Manual entry is free.
5. Getting Started
- Install SnapLabs from the App Store or Google Play.
- Create an account with your email address or sign in with Google or Apple.
- Read and accept the medical disclaimer, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You must consent to the processing of your health data before using AI extraction.
- Add your date of birth in Account Details (optional). Your age helps put AI insights in context.
6. Adding a Lab Report
Tap the add button on the home screen and choose one of four options:
- Scan with Camera: Photograph a paper report. The scanner detects and crops the page automatically.
- Pick from Gallery: Select one or more existing photos of a report.
- Upload File: Select a PDF, JPG or PNG file.
- Manual Entry: Type in the values yourself. No AI is used and it is free.
Scanning tips
- Scan one lab report at a time. A report with multiple pages is fine, but do not combine reports from different dates in one scan.
- Place the report on a flat, well-lit surface and avoid shadows, glare and folds.
- Make sure all text, especially numbers and units, is sharp and fully in frame.
- Prefer the original PDF from your laboratory when you have one. It gives the most accurate results.
Processing
After you submit a report, it is sent securely to our AI processor for extraction. The whole document is sent, so any personal details printed on it, such as your name, are also processed. This usually takes about 30 seconds. You can leave the processing screen while you wait. See AI Transparency for details on how your document is processed.
7. Reviewing and Confirming Results
When extraction finishes, the Review & Confirm screen opens. This is the most important step. Nothing is saved until you confirm it.
- Check the test details: test name, test date and institution.
- Check every value against your original report: the metric name, the number, the unit and the reference range.
- Correct any mistakes by tapping the field and editing it.
- Add missing values with Add Value, and remove any that do not belong.
- Group values when needed. Assign a value to an existing metric group so it appears in the same trend as earlier results, for example when two laboratories use different names for the same test.
- Save the record.
You can change a saved record later from its Record Details screen with Edit Record.
8. Using Your Data
Dashboard and key metrics
The home screen shows your key metrics at a glance. Tap Customize next to the Key Metrics header to choose up to 8 metrics and set their order.
Trends
Open the Trends screen and select a metric, or tap a metric card on the dashboard. You will see a graph of your historical values, a history table and the reference range. At least two lab tests containing the same metric are needed to show a trend.
AI Insights
AI Insights summarize your recent key metrics and their trends. Only a selection of your metrics, plus your age and gender if provided, is sent to the AI model. Your name and documents are not sent. At least 3 metrics are needed to generate insights. Insights are informational only, may contain mistakes, and are not a diagnosis or medical advice.
Record details
Open any record to view its values, open the original file, edit it, share it as JSON, export its metrics as a PDF, or delete it.
Exporting
Use Export Data in the menu to create a PDF report for your doctor. Choose the metrics and date range, and whether to include graphs and tables. The PDF is sent to your account email address. Rendering graphs can take up to 2 minutes.
9. Data Storage, Sync and Deletion
- Local by default: Your health data (documents, metrics, records and insights) is stored only on your device unless you turn on sync.
- Health Data Sync: Turn on Health Data Sync in Menu > Data Sync & Privacy to back up your data to our secure cloud and use it on multiple devices. Sign in with the same account on each device and the app syncs when you log in or open it.
- Export all data: Download a complete copy of your data from Data Sync & Privacy.
- Delete a record: Open the record and choose Delete. This cannot be undone.
- Delete your account: Use Delete Account in Data Sync & Privacy. This permanently deletes all your data from your device and our servers.
See the Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Troubleshooting
- A value was extracted incorrectly: Correct it on the Review & Confirm screen, or later with Edit Record.
- Values are missing or the scan failed: Rescan in better lighting, upload the original PDF, or add the values manually.
- The same test appears as two separate metrics: Edit the record and assign the value to the correct metric group.
- No trend is shown: At least two tests containing that metric are needed.
- "No internet connection" or "Session expired": Check your connection, then sign in again if prompted.
- Out of scans: Purchase a Scan Pack or plan, or use Manual Entry.
11. Support
For help, bug reports or feature requests, use Menu > Help & Feedback in the app or email contact@zujunai.com.
Your use of SnapLabs is also governed by our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and AI Transparency & Technologies.
